Homecoming Fundraising

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

I think I've mentioned we're in the home stretch of the deployment -- still A LOT of time left, but it's no longer a full year away.  =)  As such, us Army wives (or in my case, Army-wives-to-be) are already planning the homecoming.  This is Josh's unit's 3rd deployment since 2006 so we really wanted to do something fantastic.  Unfortunately, fantastic ideas usually come with a price tag.  To help raise money, we've started a bunch of fundraisers and I am actually heading one of my own!

My friend who does the vinyls actually approached me about it and I thought it was genius!  I approached my FRG leader and she agreed it would be awesome.  So I put together a car decal fundraiser!!  Brittany is helping us create custom, personalized car decals that we can use to share our support and raise money for homecoming events.  How awesome are these decals?  (They look a little funky because I erased some of the troop/unit info.)

So far it's been REALLY successful!  People love putting their soldier's name on the ribbons -- those have been the biggest sellers.  I think we've sold over 100 ribbons so far and it's been less than a week.  I might have ordered a bunch for my car =)  So if you see a girl driving around with too many "support our troops" decals - it's just me! =)

Any chance you would take orders from outside of your area? I would love to order a service flag or a ribbon with my Husbands name on it for that matter!
